rocki swiderski (b. 1994, California) is an artist based in Tucson, Arizona. Utilizing object- and image-making, their work focuses on methods of coping and survival, reflecting on the role of sentience and ideas protection. At present they are focused on barriers, boundaries, natural resources, looking at the sky and daydreaming about the new world. swiderski received a BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2015, attended Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and completed a fibers apprenticeship at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland, OR. Solo exhibitions include those at Stellarhighway, Brooklyn, NY; lowell, Portland, OR; Williamson | Knight, Portland, OR; and Nationale, Portland, OR. Group shows include Rivalry Projects, Buffalo, NY; Arusha Gallery, London, England; The Valley, Taos, NM; MOCA Tucson, Tucson, AZ; Portland Museum of Contemporary Art, Portland, OR; Museum of Contemporary Craft, Portland, OR; Steinsland Berliner Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden; and Agnes B's Galerie du Jour, Paris, France. swiderski received a grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts in 2022, and has been a resident artist at Open AIR @ Home Resource in Missoula, MT; MOCA Tucson AIR in Tucson, AZ; and, Big Medium in Austin, TX.
