︎ View available work by Jack Graydon

Jack Graydon received a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) in Portland, Oregon, and works professionally as a set builder and art handler in Brooklyn, New York. Finding inspiration in makers as varied as Saif Azzuz, Barry Mcgee and Stuart Davis, Graydon’s studio focuses on iconographic forms derived from art history, cartoons and folk art. Abstract letterforms, objects, flora and fauna ripple across his canvases, coalescing into a milieu of color, shape and texture that climb off the painted surface.

Graydon’s paintings and sculptures have been exhibited most recently at Stellarhighway, Brooklyn, NY; Chefas Projects, Portland, OR; Pollyanna Gallery, Kingston, NY; Kamp Gallery, Portland, OR; Regional Arts and Culture Council, Portland, OR; and, Moth Belly Gallery, San Francisco, CA. He has been a resident at the american institute of thoughts and feelings, Tucson, AZ and Mural Harbor, Linz, Austria, and has worked commercially for Vans, Pabst, and Vice.
