Hayley Youngs (b. 1985) is a contemporary artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Employing a visual language of esoteric shapes and curvilinear motifs, she navigates a mystical pictorial space governed by symmetry, color, and intuitive precision, as well as the inclusion of constructed landscapes and fragments of nature from memories of her travels. Drawing stylistic influence from Fauvism, Surrealism, Psychedelia, and Visionary art traditions, these paintings are a timely reflection of the universal desire to dream, find balance and beauty and serve as a safe haven for comfort, collective meditation, introspection, and re-orientation.

Youngs studied painting at Pratt Institute. Her work was the subject of a solo exhibition at Mark Borghi Gallery in Sag Harbor, NY. Recent group exhibitions include Lorin Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Hollis Taggert, Southport, CT; IRL Gallery, New York, NY; Wassaic Project, Wassaic, NY; Proto Gomez Gallery, New York, NY; Paradice Palase, Brooklyn, NY; Satellite Art Club, Brooklyn, NY; and, Walter Wickiser Gallery, New York, NY. She was a resident at Château d’Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France, and has been featured in New Visionary, Issue 3; All She Makes in collaboration with Art Girl Rising; ArtMaze Magazine, Issue 24; and, Ain’t Bad Magazine. Other collaborations include those with Ante Magazine, Bravery and Co., Odessa Comptoir of Lyon, Pole Gallery and See You Next Thursday.
